MEET DR. KHINDA

Dr. Khinda is a double board-certified psychiatrist in Child & Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry. The decision to engage in therapy, initiate or discontinue medications may be difficult and anxiety provoking. Dr. Khinda's warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental treatment approach assists in providing patient centered care in a safe and supportive environment.

As an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Khinda has extensive experience treating a wide array of mental health issues throughout the lifespan. She has worked in a vast array of settings including inpatient, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Dr. Khinda completed both residency and fellowship training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she also served as Chief Fellow in her final year of training. She has worked in a vast array of settings including inpatient, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs. Her expertise in the field have led to several leadership positions. Dr. Khinda currently serves as the Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer of Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Services for a large behavioral health company. She also teaches residents and supervises nurse practitioners.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Dr. Khinda will work to specifically tailor treatment to the unique strengths and values of each individual, whether that means medication management, therapy, or a novel treatment approach.

Dr. Khinda is now offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for patients that have had limited response to antidepressants.
